These were some of the first pictures I took with my new camera back in March. I'm not sure that this dinner struck me as particularly photo worthy, so much as I think I was just excited about playing with my new toy. Still, looking back on them, these are wonderful photos of our everyday life together. We certainly do pass a lot of evenings sharing veggies, fish and chicken pot pies.
I'm with some of my closest friends in New Haven right now, and we have of course been doing virtually the same thing, albeit with fewer animal products. Last night we made portabella mushroom steaks smothered in an amazing almond-and-braggs sauce. This morning was tofu scramble, prepared over conversation about whether human beings in the future will eat any meat at all. I'm not sure if we will or not, though for my own personal taste, I don't mind eating vegan. That conversation will probably needs a few more years to answer. Whatever its answer is, though, I think that one thing will always be true. We will always want to get together with the people we love and eat delicious food together.
