The Invisible Crisis in America

According to a recent Gallup poll, 70% of Americans are disengaged at work.

Disengaged here meaning that they fall somewhere between "I don't care about my job" and "I hate my job".

And guess why the Seattle Free Press thinks this is an issue?

Because it costs companies money.

Really?

70 million Americans wake up everyday, drive to work, and spend 8 hours doing work they don't care about. We spend 40% of our waking hours just muddling through. And the big concern here is that is costs companies money?

Really?

Does this seem like a huge problem to anyone else?

I mean, really.

Is this why we built this country?

Is this what millions of men and women have died to protect?

Is this the country we want to leave to our children?

Is it?
