"Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy. "
From The Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran
Work that you love is hard.
It's hard to decide what to do, hard to select from all the choices. It's hard to do the scary thing, it's hard to launch your project. It's hard to grow that project while working the job that pays your bills. It's hard to go home and work on your business model instead of having a beer with your friends. It's hard to work with no guarantees, hard to start something completely new. It's hard to get people to care about your project and it's hard to be the only one that believes in it.
Yeah, it's hard.
But what choice do we have?
Stick it out and wait for retirement?
Is that even an option?
Is that even a possibility, a viable way to spend our one and only life?
Sure, the work is hard, but choosing to do that work?
This is what it takes, there's no other path.
Giving up is not an option.
Settling in is not an option.
This is it.
